Empowering Communities
We understand our responsibility to the Eijidos (local communities) where we operate in Mexico, to provide safe and well-paying jobs that support economic resilience and improve livelihoods. We are committed to, and take pride in, the work we've done and the investments we've made to support and build capacity for sustainable community development in the region, investing ~$100,000 a year - a commitment that remains strong.

Building critical infrastructure including access roads, water wells and electricity lines
Education
Supplying the local school with computers and other needs, with plans to build more classrooms
Employment
Hiring local community members with higher than average salaries; making up 80% of Electrum employees

Providing water tanks and capturing rainwater for the community and recycling rainwater for our operations
