Candela

With a long production history of copper, gold and molybdenum concentrates, Candela lies within the Monclova-Candela Intrusive Belt.  The mine site is characterized by a predominantly dioritic intrusion and a cylindrical pipe-shaped breccia that hosts copper, gold and molybdenum mineralization.  The intrusion itself may host porphyry-style mineralization and a large alteration halo in the adjacent sedimentary rock indicates potential for Skarn-type mineralization.

Don Indio

The Don Indio Project contains a unique occurrence of a sediment-hosted red-bed copper deposit.  These types of deposits can be world-class in scale and represent the second largest source of copper in the world after porphyry deposits.  They are also a significant source of silver.  Drilling, trenching and sampling at Don Indio indicate semi-continuous copper-silver mineralization over a 40+km strike length.

Don Indio
It comprises two concessions in four separate claim blocks. The concession blocks are named Don Indio and Apache. With a long history of field and exploration work combined with recent campaigns undertaken from 2011 onwards, there is strong exploration potential in this area. Recent results in 2019 indicate continuous mineralization over a 20km+ area.

Copper and Our Sustainable Future

Copper is a critical part of today’s economy while also playing a key role in enabling the move to decarbonization and electrification on a global scale.  This trend requires a critical material to support many of the growing technological needs.  That material is copper.  New copper mines and additional mining capacity will be key to meeting the rising demand for copper and Electrum intends to play a role in that growth.

Electric vehicles and their charging stations are reliant on copper to meet the growing demand

Copper-alloy components are essential in many life-saving medical devices

Critical minerals like copper keep us connected to each other across the world

Copper plays a key role in renewable energy solutions, such as solar and wind

Copper is used in plumbing systems to clean and recycle water and provide safe drinking water

Copper plays a significant role in the electric grid, from transformers to energy storage
